Why are we doing this?
General Clark and Jon Soltz want the grassroots to reach as many people as possible to send the White House a message - stopIranWar. Signing this petition makes the message possible! Our goal is a minimum of (why not aim high?) 100,000 petition signatures.

The Specifics:
The stopIranWar Challenge will run for eight weeks, with weekly and one grand prize Challenge Leaders. Weekly Challenge Leaders are those individuals who gather the most signatures using online (e.g., posting your personalized link on your website, emailing the link to your email contact list, etc.) and offline methods (e.g., tabling at events) in a given week. Petition signatures gathered offline can be entered by going to tinyurl.com/32lca8 — Be sure to read the instructions to enter your petition signatures online.

Weekly Challenge Leaders will be recognized online for their efforts. You’ll see the Weekly Challenge Leader Board during the second week of the Challenge so watch for your name on the Leader Board. You will also receive a copy of General Clark’s new book, signed with a note of his thanks.

The Campaign Challenge Leader, the one who obtains the most signatures and enters them into the online database over the course of the entire Challenge, will be a VIP guest at the Clark event of their choice. This means, no matter what the contribution amount required for the event, the Challenge Leader will receive a complimentary entry ticket and VIP treatment. As an example, if the event is a dinner, the Challenge Leader will be able to sit at General Clark’s table, have a picture taken with General Clark, etc. The Challenge Leader will also have earned major thanks online from the Clark grassroots for their efforts. Did we mention the Campaign Challenge Leader will get their notification call from General Clark too?

We will also post results by state too, once a week, just to give everyone a little added incentive to do their state proud!

Important Note: if people want to buddy up with each other, that’s great. It’s up to those involved to decide what account their signatures will be credited and how they will handle it if they win one of the prizes.
